Atlanta Used Cars
Atlanta Used Cars service a metropolitan area of 8,376 square miles – a land area larger than the state of Massachusetts. Atlanta Used Cars are part of the industrial and commercial center of the South with its 1,250 multinational corporations. The city is ranked third nationally in the number of Fortune 500 companies, behind New York City and Houston, and is home to four Fortune 100 companies: Home Depot, United Parcel Service, Delta Airlines, and the Coca Cola Company.
The Eastern Continental Divide runs through the center of the city and rainfall on one side of a street may flow to the Atlantic while that on the other side to the Gulf of Mexico.
During the American Civil War, Atlanta was an important railroad and military supply hub, and became the target of a major Union invasion. After a four-month siege and the retreat of Confederate forces, Union General William T. Sherman ordered the civilian population to evacuate, and then burned the city to the ground. Gradually rebuilt, Atlanta adopted the nickname “Phoenix City”.
Coca Cola financed the city during the Great Depression of the 1930′s and saved it from bankruptcy. A local banker at the time famously said, “If a person only had 5 cents in his pocket, he would spend it on a coke.”
