Car And Driver
Car And Driver was founded in 1955 and has been headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan since the 1970′s. Car And Driver magazine is known for its irreverent tone and the habit of bashing under-performing vehicles and American automakers in general.
The editorial slant of the magazine is naturally pro-automobile and recent articles have focused on climate change, specifically that it’s not happening, or if it is, that automobiles have nothing to do with it.
Each year the publication picks the “Ten Best Cars” and “Five Best Trucks” based on the following criteria:
* The vehicle must be on sale by January
* It must be priced below 2.5 times the average car price for that year
* The manufacturer must provide an example for testing
* Only substantially changed vehicles and the past year’s 10 best winners are nominated by Car and Driver.
