Kit Cars are simply a hobby for the many people who just enjoy building them. Considering the end result, kit cars are relatively inexpensive. When you are looking for a car kit, it helps to understand your need – is it a flashy, new end product or is it the fun of the build (or both). Many people dreaming of a favorite design may not realize the time it might take to complete, and end up bored or frustrated with a half-finished car.
If you want to build one from scratch go to a few kit car shows throughout the country. The kit car industry is massive and the following is huge. There is normally a show happening somewhere every weekend throughout the summer. You’ll find many completed cars as well as partly built kits in all makes and models

The only down side with buying a partly built kit is that you will have to take on what someone else’s project, and possibly fixing what they have done that doesn’t meet your standards. Many owners are surprised by the extra money and time they need to finish their kit cars.
